/krwd/ is a phonetic word, literally how to pronounce “Kruad” in
Thai which means “pebble or gravel”.  The word “Kruad” in Thai
has a few meanings as follows:

  • Kruad Nam > In Buddhism is to pour ceremonial water.
  • Kruad Sai > coarse sand.
  • Hin Kruad > pebble, grit, gravel.

In cycling “Kruad” is a gravel ride not a race!  When you see this logo /krwd/, it means there is a gravel cycling event because /krwd/ will deliver you a countless gravel experience.  IF YOU WANT TO RIDE GRAVEL THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO COME TO /KRWD/!

It’s the last hurrah of the year for /krwd/, and trust us — we’re going out with a BANG, not a whimper. This epic weekend is all about celebrating the joy of cycling in all its forms with a special theme: “/thnn/ to /krwd/” (Phonetic words) Say it out loud: “Road to Gravel”!

Whether you’re a smooth-riding roadie, a gritty graveller, or both — this one’s got your name written all over it.   But let’s be clear — this is NOT a race.  It’s a weekend escape designed to bring colour, fun, and fresh air to your September!

The Ride Schedule:

  • Saturday, 6 September: Road ride through beautiful Pak Chong district — approximately 80 km. of scenic adventure.
  • Sunday, 7 September: Switch gears for 80 km of thrilling gravel trails in Si Khio district!

If you’re prepping for the UCI Gravel World Series Dustman, this weekend doubles as your dream training session.  Expect good vibes, great routes, and unforgettable memories.  Because when it’s hosted by Bike Zone Events, you know it’s going to be a blast.
